MDCWT Sustainable Leadership Programming

Our programs are sustainable, researched-based, hands-on and minds-on, age-appropriate and meeting the needs of the MDCWT girls. With our trained staff, we develop locally-focused programs that ensure girls are exposed to new experiences. The work is done through a physical and emotional safe place; where there is a sisterhood of support, high expectations, and mutual respect. Our primary commitment to all girls in our programs is to listen to them and our goals are to:

  1. Maintain an environment that builds character, promote confidence, release charm and cultivate the beauty and intelligence for all girls.

  2. Play a role in developing the next generation of leaders and change makers. We do that by empowering the girls to value their self-worth, discover their strengths, passions and encouraging them to rise up to challenges as they find their “inner girl power”.

  3. Educate the girls to develop greater understanding and acceptance, changing current behaviors/patterns, and developing better ways of coping with their peers.

  4. Inspire the girls to create social change in their own communities by mirroring awareness and the power of life is within their heart, mind and tongue.

  5. Consider any subject a daughter wishes to learn about, apart from controversial topics we feel are better addressed by parents or religious leaders.
